Ryan Murphy Has Written A Script For A Potential “Glee” Return
The co-creator says he has spoken with about 10 original cast members, but a revival has not been confirmed.
Could the doors of McKinley High open again? Ryan Murphy says a script for a possible new version of "Glee" is finished.
Murphy told Entertainment Tonight that he worked on it with original collaborators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. He said he has spoken with about 10 members of the original cast, who were enthusiastic about the idea.
There is still a significant step between a script and a series. Murphy said the cast members have not read it yet, and there has been no production announcement or premiere date. Their interest should not be mistaken for confirmed participation.
"Glee" originally ran from 2009 to 2015, bringing an ensemble of young performers and musical numbers into millions of homes. More than a decade later, the thought of returning to that world is bound to stir strong opinions.
